Inclusion rule. The 25 apps on the register; a feature counts when the app's own pages list it. Order. The order features take on every app page.

4Why these ten

Short-form video has its own needs: captions because most people watch muted, clips because long videos are cut down, generation because blank frames need filling, posting because the video has to land somewhere, and a clean, sharp export because it is seen full screen.

The register records what each app's pages say about them. It does not rate the apps or compare how well the features work.

5Kinds of app

The 25 are not all the same kind of app. Some are clip makers built around turning long videos into short ones, such as OpusClip and Vizard. Some are browser editors with AI added, such as Kapwing, VEED and Clipchamp. Some are phone-first, such as Captions and Instagram's Edits. Some are design suites, such as Adobe Express, and some are generators with editing, such as Revid, Pippit, Fliki and Zebracat. PowerDirector and Filmora are desktop editors that added AI tools. One, SceneMixer, generates vertical drama episodes from a script and leaves captions and posting to the platform.

The kind shapes what a page lists. Clip makers lead with clipping and captions; generators lead with AI footage; design suites lead with templates and scheduling.
