Match the resolution to the plan
Export resolution usually follows the plan. Vizard exports 4K on paid plans and 720p at no charge; Kapwing the same; Submagic exports 4K at 60 fps on higher plans and 1080p at 30 fps on its entry plan. As of 2026-09-25.
For phone viewing, 1080p is usually enough; 4K matters when clips are reused on larger screens.
A plan that caps resolution low may also cap length or the number of exports.
Check the export settings before rendering a long batch, since a re-export costs time and often credits.
Frame rate travels with resolution on some pages; Submagic pairs 1080p with 30 fps and 4K with 60.
Export a short test at the highest setting first, and watch it on a phone.

2Where the footage comes from
Upstream of an app feature like “Match the resolution to the plan”, SceneMixer describes its own generation steps:
Length caps, dialogue grammar and the way a unit ends. Short drama forces explicit dialogue, a conflict in the first ten seconds and a hook at the close; film mode allows subtext and quiet endings and drops the per-unit cap.

SceneMixer turns a novel into a watchable short-drama series in one pipeline: upload the novel (Chinese or English) → AI extracts characters, scenes, and an episode-by-episode structure → generates consistent character and scene art → writes storyboard scripts → renders video segment by segment (16:9 by default, 9:16 in one setting) → composites full episodes.
