1Where they differ
Only Descript's pages list the highest export resolution. Only VEED's pages list reframing a video to vertical. On automatic captions, Descript reads “animated captions” and VEED “automatic captions”. On cutting a long video into short clips they agree: clips cut from a long video. On generating footage with AI they agree: new footage from a prompt. On getting the video onto platforms, Descript reads “a share page or link” and VEED “download, then upload by hand”. On watermarks on exports they agree: clean exports on paid plans. On AI voiceover and dubbing they agree: translation or dubbing. On B-roll and stock footage, Descript reads “a stock media library” and VEED “AI-picked B-roll”. On cleaning up audio and picture they agree: audio and picture cleanup.
The differences are in what each page lists; the register does not say which app works better.
