Only Descript's pages list getting the video onto platforms. Only Kapwing's pages list reframing a video to vertical. On automatic captions, Descript reads “animated captions” and Kapwing “automatic captions”. On cutting a long video into short clips they agree: clips cut from a long video. On generating footage with AI they agree: new footage from a prompt. On watermarks on exports, Descript reads “clean exports on paid plans” and Kapwing “watermark on the no-charge plan”. On the highest export resolution they agree: 4K. On AI voiceover and dubbing they agree: translation or dubbing.
